Frequently Asked Questions

Does Broken Forest Collective have a store that I can visit? No, unfortunately we do not have a public address to visit at the moment. Maybe someday. If we do open a location to the public we will be sure to let you know.

Are there any stores that I can buy licensed Broken Forest Collective products? Only at brokenforestco.com or at an event we officially announce on our site. Please contact us if you see Broken Forest Collective products in any other locations, as they are more than likely being sold illegally.

How does the tree planting process work? We partner with the non-profit One Tree Planted so that they can plant a tree for each product that we sell. They use a very robust strategy to plant the trees and make sure they thrive. Their timeline is:

  • 0-3 Months Donations are sent to our Partners NGO's in the field.

  • 3-6 Months Saplings are developed in the nurseries.

  • 6-9 Months Trees are planted in the rainy season by local volunteers.

  • 9-12 Months Tree cultivation in irrigated land ensures an 80% survival rate.

  • 12-18 Months Trees are trimmed and pruned for optimal health.

  • 18-24 Months A third party audit and assessment is conducted.

Where are the trees planted? Our main area of focus at this time is Boulder, Colorado. The Rocky Mountain region continues to be hit hard by wildfires. Planting in Colorado is necessary to reverse the insurmountable damage that these fires have done. Every tree planted helps protect local animals and people alike, and is vital to maintaining the beauty of the Colorado Rockies.

Are your products vegan? All of our apparel items are vegan. However, most of our headwear products are made using natural merino wool. All of our wool is sustainably and humanely sourced.

Do you or your suppliers test on animals? Absolutely not. Neither we nor our suppliers engage in animal testing. 

Where was my product made? We manufacture our products in several locations around the USA, working with the best in their field. All our products are made in the USA.

What kind of packaging materials do you use? All of our packaging materials are made from 100% post consumer content, fully recyclable, and naturally biodegradable. Let them naturally decompose or redeposit them back into the recycling stream.

How are my products handled prior to receiving them? Every single item on brokenforestco.com is inspected, cared for, and shipped from our smoke-free, pet-free, office. Our office is located in the Leschi neighborhood of Seattle, WA. 

Can I change my order after it is placed? Due to our processing/shipping time, it may or may not be possible. But, please contact us immediately and we’ll do the best we can to help. Depending on the time of day you ordered there is a chance it could get processed and shipped within a few hours, which narrows down the amount of time available to make changes.

Do you ship internationally? We do ship worldwide, but not to every country. Please visit our shipping info page for more information.

How should I wash my shirt? Is it pre-shrunk? We recommend washing all graphic shirts inside-out, with cold water, and tumble drying on low heat. Most of our graphic shirts are not pre-shrunk, so if you like the fit and do not want to shrink the item, hang-drying is your best solution. Please take this into account when ordering your size & allow for shrinkage.

Does Broken Forest Collective sponsor musicians, artists, and/or athletes? We do support musicians, artists, and athletes. We do not currently have a public program for sponsorship and generally reach out to the mentioned groups ourselves when we are ready to open our sponsorship. However, it never hurts to contact us if you feel that you would be a good fit with the Broken Forest team :: Email contact@brokenforestco.com with "sponsorship" in the subject line.
